I set a 1;15 appointment the day before and drove in a little early on Tuesday. They got me in for an oil change in 20 minutes only 5 minutes past the chosen time and this is much better than in times past. They could have the tech meet with the customer and go over everything that they looked at instead of having the scheduler/money taker give you the slam bam thank you man-where 's the money. Consider giving a small discount for the 3rd oil change in a year or every 15000 miles on the same vehicle that they service as an additional thank you. Consider also some frequent 'friends and family coupons' that are given with a date stamp window of time validity that the customer gives out for you. The customer gets a dinner on the house when ten customers come in with his referral name on them. Customer education brochures on tires, oil types available, radiator and brake maintenance times, and the serpentine belt life expectancy are a must. Do many things beyond the competition or the get-by brothers! What does it take to be the best service center that is recommended for all the right reasons?

I found the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable. My car was repaired quickly and correctly. The staff explained what was wrong and what needed to be done as well as the cost before performing the repairs. Only mechanics I trust!

As always, terrific service. I was given a loaner car because repairs were extensive. My mechanic showed me the parts that needed to be repaired. Yes, I walked under the rack to see the leak in the power steering system. Repairs were completed in the time frame I was given, I received a phone call and then picked up my car the same day. Thank God for honest mechanics!

Solid. I've had work done on several occasions and have never been treated poorly. The work has always been up to snuff. The only thing I would caution you about is the area. While not in a bad part of town per se, they do tend to have a little bit of a vandalism problem in this general area. My car got a broken window once parked near here, along with several other cars on the street. The LSPD officer I spoke with said that minor property crime like this was pretty common downtown and especially near the apartment complex a little bit east of Herrington's on 2nd street. So don't leave your car out overnight if you can avoid it. Not the fault of this business, though, they can't control unsupervised kids roaming around at night tearing stuff up.

As a former employee (tech) of Herrington auto for almost five years, I can truly say that this shop is one of the most honest and hard working places I have ever worked for. Always willing to go above and beyond for there customers. Though I know longer work there I will always recommend their services to anyone, even above my current employer. Working for Pat was like working with a second family. Keep up the good work guys!
